This is the building an indie business podcast recorded in the Indie business studio. Okay, so this is the first episode of Shopify Tutorials. The first thing I will show you is how to remove Powered by Shopify footer at the bottom of your Shopify theme.
You want to remove the Shopify branding to make your Shopify store look more professional. Online shopping is all about trust, customers buy products from stores they trust. If removing the Shopify link to your store helps customers buy products, why not do it?
For Shopify we start at the Shopify admin page, this is the Shopify dashboard. you go to the sales channel tab, online store, and the themes tabs.
After, you go to edit languages. You want to scroll down to password page powered by Shopify. Shopify HTML box and then you delete what's there. And then you hit Space Bar at least once. And then you want to go down to it, still looking for it. Oh, you want to go to links and then Powered by Shopify, you hit spacebar again, then you save.
And then that's it
So that's how to remove powered by shopify from a shopify store without having to edit code. there's something you can do to I'm still figuring out how to add more things like replace that. So what I want to do is I want to add powered by Alex Edmonds that way I can use my store as a backlink to the podcast website. So I have to figure out how to do that.
