Building an indie business and the center of venture capital. I am Alex Edmonds. People on the internet call me Supreme Rum Him. And this is a building in Indie business podcast recorded in the Indie Business studio. All right. Um So today I want to talk about quizzes and creating quizzes for your Shopify store. Um So I saw this thing on Twitter and it was talking about how quizzes can be an effective thing to increase sales. And so I want to create a quiz um but I haven't looked into it, but I just want to talk it through with myself and I'm recording it. Um OK, so let's get into it. So quizzes are a good way to capture emails and yeah, someone takes a quiz and then they give you their email and then you convert them through that. And then what you can do is you can create like a section or no, a segment is what they call an email marketing. So what I was thinking I can do is I can create um a quiz and the quizzes will be specifically for my bundles. So my bundles are, let me just go to the website and show you the bundles. Um So I'm doing that right now, printable dog coloring pages. So I have realistic dog, uh, coloring pages, which is just all of the most popular, um, dog coloring pages by search traffic. Then I have puppy. Um, then I have hound dog, then I have big dog, which is different from hounds. Then I have small dog. Then I have holiday dog. Then I have sheep dog. I have hunting dog. I have terrier dog, um, husky and then I have bulldog. Those are all my collections. Um, no, th those are all my expensive, um, coloring pages. So what I can do is create a quiz that just, um, will end up linking people to the most expensive products. And in an ideal world, what I would do is I would have them, give me their email and then segment them by these most expensive products. Or another thing that I could do is I can have the quiz be on the website. And, um, as soon as they finish the quiz, direct them to like realistic dog coloring pages. And that way they don't spend time searching for any other products. And, um, this is all they see because the more time they spend on the website, the more likely they are to leave. But if I can just direct them to the website, um, or to the product that I want them to buy my most expensive product. Um, then that would be more profitable for me. Right. Um, and then, yeah, and then I segment them and then I sell them the other products, the other expensive products. Right. So that would be something I could do. Um, I would have to do more research on the dogs themselves to, um, figure out how to create the quiz. Like, what questions would I need to be asking to, um, you know, to create the quiz and get them to go to my most expensive products? I guess it would be something like, oh, what size dog do you like? Small, medium large? Um And then I guess what I can do is I can be like, oh, do you like Corgis or do you like bloodhounds? And then Corgis would go to the small dog section and bloodhounds will go to the big dog um section and either way those are expensive products expensive in quotes. Um, and that will lead to a higher A OV. Right. And then once they buy something and they subscribe to the email list, I can then send, sell them other products that are expensive. Like a small dog person might like the puppy collection or they might like the terrier collection or someone who likes big dogs, might like the Hound coloring page uh collection, um, things like that. And then, and then I don't know, there's no, and then I might ask them to be an affiliate. I don't know. Um, yeah, quizzes, you know, something I never thought of, you know, all these ideas would have really kicked ass for, um, aero joints, especially because aero joints products were so expensive. Um, like, yeah, the, like, the minimum was like, 50 bucks. So, imagine, you know, just directing people to the $50 product and then, yes. Yeah, because my whole thing with quizzes and just like the customer base and people on the int
